Blood of the family

Family of the heart

Not always the same

Not very far apart

Some stay steady

Some come and go

They grow and flourish

The love they bestow

They fight and they argue

But find their way back

Crisis averted

From outside attack

Generations of loved ones

Stand by side by side

Loyalty earned

Without being tried

Through celebrations and grief

They will all meet

Love so deep

Is what makes them complete.
