Twists

Twists

A Poem by Marie

They say life is a book and you are the writer.

They say you are able to create your own story.

But sometimes, the plot is changed for you.

It gets twisted up, ruining every word.

It may seem too hard to continue writing.

It would be easy to lay the papers down and walk away.

But why would a book end in the middle?

Who is it to say the plot will stay the same?

They say life is a book and you are the writer.

You can create the words it says.

You can change the way its read.

When to plot doesn’t seem to make sense anymore,

Pick up the book and continue writing.

A book should never end in the middle,

Nor should it ever stop before the best part is to come.

I like this. It's hopeful. Especially the last line - great way to view life !
