Prolouge

She runs down the hill trying to escape the monster chasing her. Run faster, legs pumping and arms swing at her side. She hopes to escape or die trying rather than be the hands of that horrid monster.

'There!' she thought as she saw a wooden bridge at least a hundred feet in front of her. The bridge was no longer than thirty feet. 'Get across bridge and cut rope!' Her mind chanted at her until she made it across the bridge.

She made it across the bridge in record time. As she hit the ground, she took out the knife she stole from him. The rope took a few minutes to cut. By that time the monster had reach the other side of the bridge. Her eyes widened and she cut the rope faster. It snapped with a loud pop. The monster was half way across the bridge as the waves rocked the bridge. The monster's eyes widened and he fell with the bridge. His scream floated to her ears making her smile in relieve as her nightmare was over. The monster was gone. And she's alive.
