Balancing the New World OrderA Poem by Amanda TurnerOn A Slippery SlopeAre you plugged in?
Getting turned on by tuning out and Hiding where the fantasy lives.
Personalizing your box- A cellular symphony-ringing in your ears, With thoughts left unanswered- like voicemail and emails stuck in the junk box.
Is the apathy appealing?
Faceless strangers, fictitious friends - finding family that’ll you’ll never see. Liking this, disliking that; all under the veil of autonomy. Really? That’s appealing? Yet, some prefer to live out loud.
Like the ones who make the news-building the sites, occupying your mind- and time. Just Run. Jump- Laugh, dance, Listen, Feel and learn.
Know it by doing it, and then when you speak- You’ll speak from wisdom. Funny if you listen... The less the world hates. So don’t hide. Push the hair back from your eyes- And smile, Let the world see your face- There’s beauty left on that page. © 2011 Amanda Turner |
