In the great scheme of things

Does anybody really succeed

Or is it just a stringed succession

Of prolonging the time until failure’s mentioned

But we continue anyway

Hoping failure won’t come our way

Oh but how quickly we forget

The last time it came to get

The best of us and leave the rest

It’s just a part life has to test

How we get up and show we’re strong

And those who aren’t are already gone

oh, my twinnie! i like this poem very much. the title caught me, i've been lazy about reading stuff on writerscafe lately, but this poem caught me with the title. i love that saying "the great scheme of things" it just sounds so big n blue n pink n yellow n colorful and fun n spacey. anyway, i really liked this poem, it was really good n i like its rytheming quality
