Stuck On You

Stuck On You

A Poem by Brittney
"

I wrote this after getting my heart torn out... yet again. It's whatever

"

I'm sorry I'm still stuck on you.
It's something that I'm going through.
I don't know what I'd call it. Yet,
It's something I won't soon forget.

You'd make me smile when I would frown.
You'd never let my hopes get down;
But I had built such hopes for us;
And now those hopes have turned to dust.

I guess I just want you to see
The happiness that you gave me.
If only you were happy too,
I wouldn't be so stuck on you.

Now that I know just how you feel,
I understand: It wasn't real.
I'll never love you any less.
I'm glad you found your happiness.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset.
I've simply learned to never let
My feelings get out of control.
Another heartbreak takes it's toll.

I hate for it to end this way.
I only wish that you could say
Exactly what is on your mind.
Don't let your words be so confined.

I guess that's it. This poem's done.
So live your life and have some fun.
I said I love you, that is true;
But finally I'm not stuck on you!
