An Inner Bleeding

An Inner Bleeding

A Poem by Silent Lover

An Inner Bleeding

She is like an Autumn breeze

Inconsistent and slightly cold.

She is in pain.

A flower,

Struggling to stay alive with little water,

The water that gives life,

The water of God.

She longs for love,

A love that she cannot recognize,

A spirit love.

Her eyes reflect an innocence lost.

Her smile is a mystery.

Her laughter is no longer a melody.

Her purity has left with the wind,

Landing in a harsh and unforgiving desert.

And yet I still love her.

A cursed love that cannot be stricken out of me.

She is a rose with stunning beauty,

Yet covered in thorns.

Every time I reach for her.

I walk away bleeding.

Th breath-taking experience of a lover who reaches out to his loved one and is bruised in return. A poem full of insight and passion is very much there, though in a subtle way, taking the backseat. Its sad and yet is it extremely wonderful. The imgery and all. Very well penned. I like your style. It has that dream-like quality, I think. :)
