Us Again...

Us Again...

A Poem by JoSephMacGown

I looked so up-

to the set of which you played.

I climbed a tree-

and fell invisibly to you.

I retrieved my footing-

and wiped the dirt from my lashes-

looking straight upset to you.

You were cornered by the thorns of roses.

I was blossoming so close.

Growing like all the other plants- insane

by your grace.

And I fell-

right up to your face-

and you stared directly away...

So we moved like drunk cardboard cutouts-

Past each other-

So shifty and slow.

Upon this set.

I can’t remember the rest.
