Forgive and Forget

Forgive and Forget

A Poem by Amaclaire

Forgive and Forget
Easier said than done
Words and actions that will never be foregone
Forgotten - Never in your wildness dreams
Forgiven - I could if I could breathe, and believe
Time is of the essence so they say
but time is a killer all the same
Mind, soul and heart
Who has the f***k to tear it apart
To rip it away
The past paves they way
to a better day
To draw that line under the sand
To forgive and forget
is an understated thing to say
but peace of heart is what means more
than hanging on to a lifetime of hate
and misery
To look at the sun, to look at the moon
To just breathe and let go
Your child's face in the morning
And you just look
at their glowing faces
that is enough :)
Forgive and Forget xxxxxxxx
