Wanderlust

Wanderlust

A Poem by AlyssaDevL
"

travelling

"

Dirty boots, with soft soles-

to walk on cobblestones and stand

whilst eyes roam.

Battered bag, with paper stuck in zippers.

They were once train tickets.

Energy and grace, as she steps off the platform

and into another world.

The bread is different, the people breathe

something else.

Life continues, millions of miles away.

And she keeps moving, to prove this

to herself each day.
