A Chapter by Alyssa Bynum

He walked along the beach with the sand seeping threw the cracks and spaces of his feet. The water washed up every thirty to sixty seconds to sweep the sand away, only for it to be replaced. He had a genital tan that kissed his skin, the cause of him being out on the beach or laying out on his foster parents beach home porch reading one of his books. his black hair rested on top of his head and swept to the left of his head in a wave like curl. His blue board shorts hugged his waist as he walked the ocean line.
He goes by the name Tristain, Tristain Wain Cornell. His real parents had given him his first and middle name but left the last name for his foster parents, Kiel and Brittney Cornell. He knows of his real parents and does keep in touch with them. Of course he was upset when he first found out why they had given him up; he was the birth of a teen pregnancy. The more he talked to his parents the more he understood and accepted why they gave him up. They didn't have the money to provide the essentials he needed to grow up.
At the age of seventeen his parents, Riley and Richard Wain, have given their trust into their seventeen year old son to care for his three month old sister, Anna Marie Wain. He accepted the offer in a heart beat because of the short three months that she has been here he had grown an attachment to this baby that couldn't be broken. He was there through the whole eight months and three days of pregnancy with his parents and he wouldn't ever leave this baby with a stranger to care for her when her older brother only lived an hour away.
Before leaving to his parents he had told his foster parents that he would take a short ten minute walk before going to his parents. He stopped walking and looked out into the ocean. The waves hit one another in a race to reach the shore first and the sea gulls squawked to each other, telling the others about their day.
"Tristain its time to go." Kiel called out of the wooden beach house door.
"I'm coming." He calls back to his foster father.
Tristain starts his short walk back to the beach house. When he arrives he is met with his foster mother, Brittney. "I'll see you after summer." She says as a tear rolls down her soft cheeks.
"It's going to just be for the summer. I'm not leaving for ever." Tristain smiles down at the small woman.
"I know but your my baby boy." She wraps him into her arms.
"Tristain if your going you need to go now." Kiel said as he walked into the living room with the few essentials that Tristain didn't have at his parents home. Tristain goes over and gives his foster father a quick hug before leaving out of the house and over to his gray jeep.
He sets the bag in the passenger seat before starting up the vehicle. Before he starts driving he sends his mother a quick message saying that he is headed their way. He puts the Samsung four back into the bag, then drives off towards his parents home.
