A Pearl of a memory sample that I am putting onto lulu.comA Story by Alyssa SolomonA story of a girl who lost her mom, takes place in present events and takes you in the past. About how we are all attached to the necklace of life and how we are pearls. This is an excerpt Chap 1My thoughts
would go nowhere while people started coming up to me. “Pearl was so kind;
you’re lucky or blessed to have had such a mother.” As people spoke and took my
hand I began to almost cringe and wanted to go home to sleep. Though I know
their intentions and words came from good motives; their words were stinging
reminders that my mom really is gone. As if their tongues were signing her
death certificate once more. © 2012 Alyssa Solomon |
