White on Black

White on Black

A Poem by Alysa
"

My fiance and I go through this daily.

"

He gazed upon her with longing,

Her pale touch to his dark complexion.

With her, he felt a sense of belonging,

Within her, he saw perfection.

She saw everything in his eyes,

She felt love in his touch.

In his arms, she cries,

The emotion is beyond too much.

He saw his future in her soul,

He knew his heart beat for her.

Marrying her was his only goal,

Everything happening so fast, it's become a blur.

They walk together, hand in hand,

With her cream tone to his coffee colored skin.

The light catching her finger to show the wedding band,

Their life together is about to begin.

Such a sweet poem! Nice job!
"complextion"-misspelled. (complexion).

Yes, the difference is obvious but what is extraordinary is the love shared between the two of you. I'm sure you will have an amazing time together :)
The last stanza is the perfect ending.
Touching and endearing. A really nice poem!
