Terror Tot: What Lies Below

Terror Tot: What Lies Below

A Story by Lore Keeper
"

A bite sized horror short.

"
The endless pounding of the surf against the fog shrouded beach beckons the unsuspecting victim to untold adventures. Yet what lies beneath gives even the stoutest of mariners pause from setting foot on the safety of their schooners deck. Krakens, serpents of unnatural length and girth, and even the placid jellyfish that call the seas their home has plagued the minds of many from the hardy stock.
Does Charybdis still wait patiently to swallow those who anger Poseidon as he wars with his fellow gods and tormenting mortals who don’t give him his proper due? Are all those who’ve fallen in to the brined depths fated to their final resting place of Davey Joneses locker?
What other Erdrich horrors lurk ‘neath the waves unfound by even our or future modern science? Be ever watchful for the terrors of the deep, and may the Flying Dutchman never rob you of your night sleep.

A more than welcome and much needed warning if ever needed. The weight of such findings within dark water can be petrifying until discovered to be model toys that inflate as the salt water seeps into their bellies.. a terrible sight, a terrible finish. Sleeplessness senses words like these every night!
