Untitled Puerto Rico Poem

Untitled Puerto Rico Poem

A Poem by Kasey Jones
"

I wrote this recently while on vacation in PR, but I can't think of a title.

"
The wind screams its bluesy melody
Trying harder, desperately.

The ocean crashes against the shore
Hoping to once again be pure.

The trees let themselves be moved
Hoping their lives will be improved.

The people wander through the streets
Chanting and fighting despite the heat.

My restless heart beats slower and slower
As my hopes sink lower.

You stand there right in front of me
Bringing back the memories.

This has a charming quality to it love, a beautiful poem, for every piece of happiness and reality, there is something attatched at its heels, bringing it down lol
Excellent work

i feel like it needs to be "lower and lower" just to keep with the flow there.. and also maybe 2 more lines before the last ones because i feel like it ends kind of abruptly
