You Smell Like Summer

You Smell Like Summer

A Poem by Kasey Jones

Old Spice, it smells so nice,
Floating in the breeze, to me.
The scent of dirt mixed with grass,
With a touch of sun,
Spreads in waves through the humid air.
You smell like life.
You smell like summer.

Lol, just yesterday, after years of using old spice, my girlfriend made me buy a different deodorant... She said it made me smell like an old man! The nerve! Haha, I like your estimation better, I think I will show this to her! I enjoy your poetry, thanks for showing it here!

I absolutely love the title of this one...I wrote one that started with the line "Her hair smelled like the Wyoming sunshine" I love the smell of summer. This was a very perfect short and very nostalgic read for me. Nice work.
