Silly Me

Silly Me

A Poem by Kasey Jones

Silly me,
I thought you cared.
I assumed you'd always be there.
I guess I was wrong.
I knew all along,
That I didn't belong.
Silly me,
Pretending to stay calm.
The hurt's exploding like a bomb.
Silly me,
I thought you were my mom.

These aren't exactly the feelings I have about my mom, but this just popped into my head. Again, I DON'T hate my mom.

Good rhyme pattern, which in turn creates good flow. (: I really like it.

To tell the truth sometimes I feel that way about my mom...only after we fight. Going in it really seems like it's about romance. Good job

"Silly me,
I thought you cared.
I assumed you'd always be there."

I think this is missing another line

"I guess I was wrong.
I knew all along,
That I didn't belong."
it you should use i knew IT all along.

How could you hate your mom? I really like this those because it's almost like a twist in the poem. At first it's like "Oh, it's definitely about romance" Then it's like okay it's your mom.
