Golden Rain

Golden Rain

A Poem by AlteredReality

Oh beloved little fawn,

Or at least so it’s said,

Why do you stand there so listless and dead?

Hiding behind trees,

Creeping in the grass,

What must it be that you’re waiting to pass?

A change in the wind,

The falling of leaves,

Or perhaps just a flowing, clear summer breeze?

There be no need to wait,

This golden day starts now,

None to step in, none to say how.

Everything in front, everything behind,

Nothing to forfeit, nothing to gain,

For why stand in the shade, when you can dance in the rain?

This one also has deep meaning. Maybe the rain is the turmoil of life. Yet rain is viatl to life also. So there is ambivalence. But if rain is vital to life then turmoil is also. Maybe the question then is the old glass half this or that. The last line says it all. Don't be shy, live!
