Anomaly

Anomaly

A Poem by AlteredReality

Alone they venture off, hand in hand,

Under sole watch of blossom-laden boughs,

Leaving no trace on the plush, virgin land,

In solitude only nature allows.

For the trees fail to see black against white,

Nor do the reeds judge the young from the old,

Here they escape from their ill-deserved plight,

And find solace from many a harsh scold.

Their past rights and wrongs the sky does dismiss,

Their appearance, their form, fall prey to the fox,

As Moonlight the witness veils those amiss,

Behind placid water and satin gray rocks.

Hmmm.... wonder what this is about.... XD
I like the language you used here, and how you personified nature to being the only one accepting of what the rest of the world has looked down upon.
One thing to look at - and you know I love criticism, so I'm giving you some - these lines confuse me:
Their appearance, their form, fall prey to the fox,
As Moonlight the witness veils those amiss,
How does their appearance/form fall prey to the fox? And the moonlight one, was there supposed to be a comma or two?
And the title is... well fitting.... lol XD
Really great write, especially being one of the first you posted here.
Beautiful. :)
