One Last Time

One Last Time

A Poem by Alraune

ONE LAST TIME

I'd say it one last
Time for you,
Standing in the dark,
Nothing but the pain,
Engulfing me,
In its fiery rage;
Gasping for breath,
When you left me,
To walk this empty road,
Scented of grief;
No more footprints,
I step, sinking...the chilling sand;
Living, not quite,
As dead I turned;
Knowing no more,
Would I stare,
Into the clear pools,
Never feel the warmth,
The sound of your heartbeat.....
In shreds is my heart,
You tore it away, apart;
A part of me stolen,
Across widespread skies;
Your serenade,
Reels through my head,
Crumbling, nothing but dust;
On the memories they settle...
Away it flew,
My soul,
My spirit,
My life;
Can my eyes be opened,
To never forget your breath?
I'd say it one last,
Time for you....

Good. The line 'In shreds is my heart, you tore it away apart' was so beautiful! Awesome.
