Harmless

Harmless

A Poem by Alpris

my arms around her waist

her arms around my neck

my mouth buried in her shoulder

her mouth against my ear

her breath tickling my ear

my breath crashing with her cottoned perfume

her breasts

on top of my breasts

my knees

against her knees

my stomach

across her shuddering stomach

_______ _ ___ _ ___

b re aka wa y;

to her it was just a harmless hug

to me it was a harmless flirt

I wonder if she knows

I know

she knows

This poem was so tender and beautiful; it is really nice to see this side of you in this poem. I like how you showed the separation with the breaks in the long dash and the words break away. I also like how you play around with line breaks and spacing. I think that helps to emphasis the union of the lovers and also how they are slightly set apart at the same time. There is a deep level of truth and vulnerability hear that is extremely welcoming. It welcomes the reader into this moment.

A little bit of heat, not so much. A little bit of curiousity, just a touch. A little bit cyptic, just enough. I like it all, even the format. Well done.

Beautiful, concise, and passionate; simple, yet delicate in every way! A great read! Well written!

Simple... elegantly done.
Posing the thought as innocently as possible.
Promises yet made?
This is one of the better pieces, Misty.

Even the words coined for the poem is also harmless. Very lovely to read. Good job. With regards.
