A Simple FaceA Poem by Alpris S**t! ugh how disgustingly CHEESY. Anything I do Anywhere I am Anyone I talk to Anything I read I either pout my bottom lip to an innocent smirk as I nod with elegant poise and it reminds me of Melanie because that's what she does or I either curl my bottom lip stretch it to the side to a thoughtful jeer as my eyes trace the contours of -whether it be cratered ceilings or soaring skies- with my teeth jutting out almost unnoticeably and it reminds me of Melanie because that's what she does or I either mumble agreements to whatever it is I'm indulging as my eyebrows are being up pulled by persistent invisible steel hooks, as my lower eyelids fight to reach up and pull them back down again and at that point I see through desert glazed hazel irises instead of chocolate doughnut irises and it reminds me of Melanie because that's what she does I can't concentrate with her wrapping my heart in a fuzzy sugarcoat but I try my best every damn time to concentrate only on her face only her face, because I will lose concentration completely otherwise only her face which to everyone is so simple but to me.... dances reminders on the stage of my mood of how beauty is often disowned, curbed and casted away but to me... it hides when really it is performing art right in front of me b e a u t i f u l and that reminds me of Melanie because that's what she is. © 2012 AlprisFeatured Review
