summer to autumnA Poem by Alpristhere was a party at the castle groove lights on gold walls, the mahogany danced with us, we spun like tipsy carousels on a cream glass floor there were arrows strewn about the air; what was it in the ear of the party people the music was fierce and the colour of rouge as night began to wake; we woke with it we swung our hips to stir the scent of our loved ones until the sun woke and we fell; silent. the smell of mother nature's dried blood; we are left concealed in the stench of what was green pried away from loving arms; it will make love to the earth until it is born again somewhere someone lights a fire to thaw infectious cold from their bones I follow my breath to the rocks hugging the shore healthy
