Missing you rn

I haven’t written poetry in a while…

I miss your beautiful eyes
Looking like a clear blue sky
The way you smell
And way your hugs feel

I love spending time with you
Feeling safe in your arms
Please don’t leave me
Even when we’re oceans apart

Sometimes things will get hard
We both have our own scars
But if we work together
We can last until forever 🫶🏻

The sentiments of this poem hit me pretty hard. Being away from someone you love can be a difficult emotion to swallow. Sadly, I've lost a lot of people in my life these past few months. Here's hoping that the distance apart from whoever this poem was written about won't last forever. Either way, this was a nice little read.
