Happy Birthday

This poem is for my best friend, no matter how many states apart we are, she's always been there for me and I've always been there for her.

Although I wish we could've been together all these years,

to share the laughs and even tears

No matter how far we are,

We're never truly apart. 

I know lots of guys can be mean

Remember to find one who treats you like a queen

If you give them your heart, they better be careful

And realize who they have is so very special

Forever until the end,

You'll always be my best friend

And I just wanted to say,

I hope you have the most amazing birthday!

I'm sure your family would agree,

You're worth so much more than you think

But anyway,

Happy seventeenth <3 

Author's Note

I starting writing this poem shortly after a guy hurt my best friend, her birthday is also coming up soon. Thats the story behind this piece and I really need some opinions and suggestions on this poem, before I give it to her.
