My comforting Piece

Wrote this for a school assignment.... Had to add in imagery and sensory details... It's about my boyfriend :) (The cover image is him...Sorta...He loves frogs..)

Those little strands of hair

He brushes from my eyes

I look up and his smile takes me by surprise. 

He’s always on my mind;

Each and every second 

Of every day and night. 

His little whispers, 

They flood my ears

He says the words I've been dying to hear.. 

I whisper them back as I lay in his arms

I feel safe there,

Even in the dark 

Somehow, even after he’s long gone, 

After I’ve watched the fading flash of his tail light blinkers, 

His sweet tropical scent still lingers 

No matter what I feel,

There is no better comfort than he.

Because of him, I feel more confident and free.

I combined a few lines from other poems I've written about him and added a couple new ones... The colors were part of the assignment :)

Yeah... I had to color different parts of the text showing sensory details, like hearing and sight.
