That Special Night

For a special person, about when we first got together. <3 I was told, by a friend, to post some of my better/more in depth poems...So here's one of the firsts..

That Fourth of July 

It changed my life

You whisper in my ear, 

and ask a question I’ve been dying to hear.

Since that night, 

we’ve never had a fight. 

When I laid there in your arms, 

I felt so adored. 

I feel safer by your side

And when I look into your eyes, 

a thousand butterflies flood my mind. 

You are all that I need 

My whole world and favorite dream. 

With you, there is no one else I can see.

It’s just you and me <3
