Early Morning Thoughts

Hazel blue eyes with flecks of dark gold
Stare into my eyes, stare into my soul
they slowly close and I slowly smile
Makes me happier than I've been for quite a while.

Light hands like birds as they skim the sea
Taking their time drifting over me
Marking new paths before they land
We're so much closer than just holding hands

Covers like waves as they're tossed to and fro
They trap you inside when it's time to go
Lean into my ear and whisper "Love, it's okay"
Pull me into a kiss for a reason to stay.

I like the title. It gives us a reference of the person waking up with their loved one and making love, which is real nice.
