My Monster

My Monster

A Poem by Alonzo

My monster eats away,

As I struggle to cope, day to day,

life used to be great

for now, all I smell is hate

fate frankly, has closed it's gate

My monster, he will not wait

chewing my life piece by piece

wreaking havoc on my sleep

shall I cry and become lost,

shall I die and become found

shall the world help me out

shall the earth, close it's mouth

tick tock, tick...

I'm starting to drown, I guess this is it.
