At Least She Didn't Have To SufferA Poem by Alone In A Crowd
The steering wheel pivorted slowly to the right.
His hands firmly gripped it's material. His thoughts taking cover; In the old 40's Jazz music initiating from the radio Delving deep into his mind- Washing out the memories still fresh in his mental view. He'd had another bad day at work. Arguing with his superior authority, And being humiliated by his collegues. But the family of a four year old little girl; Was about to have a far worse experience. As his fingers danced in time to the beat, He didn't notice the little girl; dancing across the street. She was only four when she died. Knocked down unexpectedly. At least she didn't suffer. © 2013 Alone In A CrowdAuthor's Note
