Waves crash over me,
Salty water floods my lungs;
My wish has come true.

It was so simple yet very descriptive. I can almost feel myself getting drowned in ocean water. And the last line was unsettling but I mean that in a good way.

Haiku's are short but they aren't the easiest. Trying to pack all that meaning in 17 syllables is a challenge. You did great with this one.

This's really a nice write and well written, but i read your author's note, you're saying that it's HAIKU", sorry but, i don;t think it's haiku, because haiku's of this patterns
Line 1: 5 syllables. Line 2: 7 syllables. Line 3: 5 syllables., hope it'll work for you.
