A Poem by Alone In A Crowd

Scars;
The engravings on my arm.
Enscriptions of messages,
From the darkness hiding within.

This is a strong tidbit of truth. It is not many words, but it gets down to the nitty gritty. Well done!

Thank you very much.
engravings on my arm makes me think of cutting. i wrote a series of poems from a cutters perspective but don't have them on the site anymore. point being i think the title and bluntness of the poem tell the tale plenty. not convoluted or overdone at all. very good.

Thank you
I'm confused about the title because I feel like there is no connection to the poem. I love that the poem is so simple, but it says so much. The two middle lines really make the poem, the wording is just incredible. I feel like there could be two interpretations of the third line; which could mean actual words in the skin or could mean that the scars/cuts tell a story within themselves. This poem is going in my favorites. Take Care! Stay Strong! :)
