The Warrior of OldA Poem by Allyson WolfeThe warrior of ages old; the bravest deeds he's done, so bold! He's seen himself though every war, through every year, he's seen the gore! It all began in ancient times, he fought his way to the front lines. Grecian on Egyptian shores, hero status in their lore! Immortalized forever more; he's fought so hard, he's seen the gore! He fought in Alexander's war, immortalized forevermore!
He was once Caesar's right hand man, he traveled o'er the Roman's land. Hard-fought battles left him sore, he'd sleep upong the forest's floor. Madly fighting against the Gauls, tearing down proverbial walls. He asks himself "What's now in store?"; this fighting! Oh! My heart has tore! It lies broke in blood and gore, he hopes to fight nevermore.
Then there were the Trojans too; their horses fast, their people true. Our soldier's found upon the moor, fighting for the Spartan w***e! Sweet Helen had intentions dear, and Paris made his message clear. Sweat dripped out of every pore; our warrior fought his final war. He hardly knew what was in store, he fell upon the Trojan shore. Our brave soldier fought no more, he felt the pull of Hades' door. In immortality our hero lies, a million tales within his eyes! He never said his last goodbyes! This warrior met his demise.
