The Snail LifeA Story by AllyJust a fun little short story about a snail.
The crack in the spine of the spiraled shell soon dissolved in the golden sand. The sea foam gracefully glided over the broken shells leaving a crisp shine on one of the textured shells. Internally there was a little creature that still remained inside. It shivered as a cool crisp breeze hit the shell dissolving through the spongy holes on the surface. The design of the shell was eye catching and it caught the eye of a shell collector.
"Look Grandma!" she yelled, "I found a good one, a sharks eye!" The creature stood still, holding even his breath. "Don't pick me, don't pick me, don't pick me." He felt a shift in his shell. "Oh s**t, she picked me." His mind went on high alert..."STAY SAFE! STAY SAFE! STAY SAFE!" Sirens were going off, this was his time. Quickly he detached his snail tail and squirmed through the spiraled crevices. "I must stay safe!" he thought to himself. Finally he saw the light of the shimmering ocean. He crawled out and made his way to the next shattered shell. As he squirmed the sand was scorching hot, but at least it was moist.
