Wind Whisperer (poem)

Wind Whisperer (poem)

A Poem by AllyMarie

The whispers of wind
Play the sounds of a hymn
A voice the fairest of fair.
With a heart-warming smile
And the palest of skin
And the longest of sun-tint hair.

Her heart is fragile
As her walk is agile
When she sings her melodous song.
The pitch is high
And light and sweet
While secretly all along.

It was a make-up that hid
The past things she did
And the regret that she couldn't bare.
Life changed for others
Cries 'cause she's smothered
Lies for how much she cares.

Her eyes hold depth
That can only be seen
When her soul is craving redemption.
Drowning in agony
Broken by tradgedy
Days swallowed up in compunction.

Her pain is concealed
You'd think that she's healed
For on the exterior only scars can be seen.
But gaze at that soul
Feel the unfold
Of the tales that lie behind green.

She walks upon soil
The same in which you step
Forsaken by how others have sinned.
So her beauty treads on
With the hymn of her song
That I hear in the whispers of wind.

This is very...dream-like.
I don't know if I can explain well enough, but the images this presented to my mind were very fluid and changing.
It's a very interesting effect, whether intended or not. *smile*
Great write.
