![]() The Little Girl (song)A Poem by AllyMarieOctober 17th, 2009. 6:56a.m. The Little Girl
Sad little girl come cry on my shoulder Everything's gonna be alright Snuggled up in bed as the night gets colder Just try and get some sleep tonight.
I've tried to help her, I really have She's so fragile inside Just a little girl who needs a shoulder to cry on Scared of the world outside.
Oh, but she'll be okay. She will rise above this. Eventually she'll stand tall. Oh, you best believe. That one day the little girl will be happy.
Tears fall down her freckled cheeks. It's the saddest sight to see. Her lower lip quivers, so I hold her tight And I pull her closer to me.
You should be there for her, you really should 'Cause she's so fragile inside Just a little girl who needs your shoulder to cry on Scared of the world outside.
Oh, but she'll be okay. She will rise above this. Eventually she'll stand tall. Oh, you best believe. That one day the little girl will be happy.
And she cries waterfalls to drown out the world That scary world, that cruel world. Hazel eyes crying waterfalls to drown out the memories Poor little girl, poor little broken girl.
So I tell her... Oh, but you'll be okay. You will rise above this. Eventually you'll stand tall. Oh, you best believe. That one day little girl you will be happy. Because you deserve to be happy.
Hush now, little girl the sun is rising. The darkness is gone for the day. So she stands up and opens the door... With the faith that she'll one day be happy. © 2009 AllyMarieReviews
