Raining In My Room

Raining In My Room

A Poem by AllyMarie
"

This is a little something I just wrote because I couldn't sleep.....

"

It's raining inside my room as I try to sleep.
There's lightning in front my eyes, the light just enough to keep me awake.
And there are dark clouds above my bed, circling me like voltures do.
But you see, the thing is, I'm not yet dead.
Or at least I think I'm not...because I can't seem to move.
But if there's one thing I know for sure.
As this rain continues to pour and pour...
I know I don't want to feel like this anymore.
Pain, pain, go away. Save it for another day,

When something else happens to break my heart.
Because I don't feel like fighting tonight.
(Because I don't feel like crying tonight.)

Ok, so I don't even know if it's very singable just yet. But I like the words a lot. What do you think?

I really enjoyed reading this.. it "to me" compares your pain to "the downpour of the rain" seeking sunshine in place... a peaceful space with no pain... thank you for sharing!
