We have God all wrong

We have God all wrong

A Poem by Chris Burns
"

What if God is not a man in the sky?

"
I think the reason so many people believe God is a being or person outside of them, is because that takes away personal responsibility.
If God is seen as "The man upstairs, the one in charge"
Then what personal power does one have but to just fold their hands and let God handle it?
Instead, when we see that God is you and me, the trees the bees the birds, all that is beautiful AND ugly, this automatically leaves the one behind this realization as the one in charge and responsible for their own life.
This can be VERY SCARY. We are not taught how to think, how to exist without definition from friends family and media.
Quite frankly, we have given all our personal power away. The only real savior is the one you see when you look in the mirror.
Taking personal power back means admitting when you are wrong, when you do not know something, it requires you to challenge your own beliefs.
It forces you to see the world through a lens that has been foggy your whole life. It demands that you are truly free of others opinions and judgments while unchaining yourself from your ego.
God exist... but it exist in a MUCH bigger reality than you have ever dared to see.
