Wife

A Poem by Allmax
"

Just Lucky

"

Days passed so very slow before I first saw you.

A lost soul drifting alone, searching for something new.

Confused and lacking the confidence to see anything through.

Life was void of all but the instinctual needs of life.

My mind was burning, my spirit torn at the injustice and strife.

I was beaten and had no will to fight.

In a moment I was taken by complete surprise.

My eyes almost burst with the tears held back by pride.

I knew I loved you as my future came to that fork in the road.

Then those words, I am pregnant; my God, my heart found a Home.

Four children later, I love you more today, So much more today.

The pain, the stress of life, baby we have lasted, and I have to say.

Thank you so very, very much for being my wife Jessica Faye.

Excellent line. This was a heartfelt piece, kind of cliché but you found a way to a new light in this wonderful tribute. I can tell the emotions are coming from within, and that is pure poetry.
