Girl

Girl

A Poem by Gah Yan
"

For the tomboys.

"

She doesn’t act pretty

And she likes it that way.

She never had a liking

For makeup

Or long flowy hair

She sometimes wears dresses

When her pants grow too short

Or are in the wash

She doesn’t mind it

High pitched giggling noises

Never escape her dry mouth

She speaks low

And slow

And never seems to fret over anything

Things seem easy

And usually are

She is “smart girl’

And “cool girl’

But never “pretty girl”

She is “fine with it”

But she is not fine with it

She still wishes she was beautiful

Oh my dear, I swear this is me 2 years ago.
Been there, lots of girls have. Jesus I'm speechless of how accurate this is.
You don't have to worry - You already are beautiful. And yes, people are gonna see it. Or maybe just one special person, who will cherish you so much yu'll forget all your struggle.
Go on girl, you can do this.
