Price of Rejection

Price of Rejection

A Poem by Allison Diamond
"

Sometimes, the price of rejection, is beyond deadly.

Price of Rejection

Her lips,

dry, chapped, small,

intrigues him.

Her hair,

swirls of dark ebony

collapses gracefully,

over her shoulders,

revealing her smooth neck.

Her eyes,

a dark shade of brown,

brings out that natural glow,

to her cheeks.

Her nose,

long and narrow,

shapes her face,

to a delightful,

blend of firmness yet callowness.

Her ears,

so round yet so big,

gives her that uniqueness,

that he has come to love.

She’s not a beauty,

but he loves her.

Only if she could return those feelings,

then he won’t have to do this,

he thinks as he slitters the knife,

across her silky skin.
