My Heart in a LetterA Poem by AllisonBIt's sad and about love.Dear Mother, I wish you could live forever. Your advice leads me to great decisions. Your love makes me believe in life. Your presence keeps me sane. I know death is creeping up on you Because all the signs are there. There are wrinkles on your freckled face, And white strands in your long golden hair, The truth is, I never want you to die. You are my only true friend, The only person willing to listen till the end. The only person willing to accept me for who I am. Deep down I know I can’t stop the mortal clock. It ticks every day, taking seconds of both our lives away. All in all, there’s almost nothing I can do,
