What If

________________________

What if we go to war?

What if I can’t play soccer again?

What if…

All these what-ifs go through my head.

Especially today.

Today I find out if I can play soccer this season.

I am worried about my lesson.

Will I do good?

What if I don’t?

I need to practice.

It’s all I’ve been thinking about.

I feel guilty for not practicing though.

But really...

What if we go to war?

Will we die?

I’m scared of whats to come in the world.

War means people I love go fight for our country.

What if they don’t come back…

I don’t want more death.

It’s already something I’m scared of.

I hate thinking about death.

I don’t ever want to experience more.

But I know I will.

It’s just a part of life.

I think about war a lot.

I love learning about it.

I don’t want to experience it.

I don’t want to think about it.

But what if…

I die during a war.

What will happen to my friends?

Will they be okay?

What if I live and everyone else I love dies?

There are so many possibilities with this.

I don’t like it.

It’s really scary.

Does anyone else think like me too?

I know one person who does.

What about some of my other friends?

There are so many what-ifs in this world.

I try not to focus on them,

But it’s hard.

What if I’m right though?

Then what…
