AllisonA Poem by AllieRoseBack in 8th grade we wrote a poem about our namesAllison A mother and her husband Sitting on the couch Each had a baby book in one hand A different color crayon in the other Crossing out names and circling their favorites Then editing each others Ended up with Allison I received my middle name Rose from my grandma The name Rose has been passed down many generations She cooks as if she’s a professional chef but uses too much butter Allison Means noble, kind, and of the noble sort Noble means having or showing high moral character Such as courage and generosity I lack courage when being center of attention I don’t like people staring, snooping, or snickering The origin of Allison Is German I’m lucky to share my name with Allison Janney and Allison Moorer and many more A dream of mine is to make it as a professional singer When singing I am free as a bird I’m a cougar with confidence singing along with the breeze People say I sing strongly and with courage Allison Means to me strong, independent, and unique Things I find interesting are singing, reading, writing, scary movies, and listening to music I write about scary things Some times reality and fantasy mix together Scary movies to me are funny I laugh like a hyena Some time nonstop laughing that I can’t breath Allison Is a special name © 2011 AllieRoseAuthor's Note
