Soul mates aren't always lovers

And lovers aren't always soul mates

I am attracted to you

But not in the way lovers would be 

My soul feels drawn to yours

You understand the things that

Go on in my head and 

You understand my need to get away 

Because you don't belong here either

Sometimes I wish we could leave

Together and never look back

Our bodies are here but

Our souls and hearts are far away

I hope to someday catch up with my soul
