I'd describe it as thoughtful beauty. I enjoyed the rhyme scheme, made it interesting to read, I was intrigued by all that wisdom, the truths about happiness, and what to consider. I must say, the picture goes rather well with the poem, and there's just this positive atmosphere created, I could feel a pleasantness and the freedom as I read your poem, and leaves you feeling awed. Well done!
I first felt freedom at sixteen when I pulled my own parachute from its container, while falling to the Earth. I saw the birth of me as I saved myself. That perspective the ever-changing and not to be feared. Yes, they will chime. I like this write. It has a nice ring.
Loving the pic again!!! You choose the most beautiful and ones with plenty to say as well as reflections of your pieces. (mouthful there) Anyway, I liked the flow and peaceful calmness I felt while I read your poem. I almost became swept up in the way you structured it...of course the rhythm was spectacular and the message sooo clear that it literally jumped off the screen at me. (at least this is what I thought) Fear can be sooo blind...we fear the unknown or the different.. instead of trying to understand and embrace differences, flaws...and eachother. Lovely poem :)
profound simplicity emanates from this piece as if from a rising sun...it is fear that prevents happiness as the title suggests. the cadence, language, and image are spot on within this piece... spot on.
"Love your friends as well as foes , but understand the doubt"
I like the positive feel in your words. I enjoyed the repetition and the strong ending to the excellent poem.
