MonticelloA Poem by Allen SmucklerPrelude to Europe
Monticello, home of T.J in the town of Albemarle. Left his mark for all to see. Left his name in history.
Built his home on top a hill. Relics past remain there still. Thirty-five years to complete; tribute to a massive feat.
Monticello…Monticello… Let the people say hello. Once a man made this his home. Now it stands there all alone.
Buried ‘neath an old oak tree, along with all his family. Monticello, home of T.J. in the town of Albemarle.
