Get Up

Get Up

A Poem by Allen Smuckler
"

I't's not how many times you fall...it's how you get up after each one picture: Bonita Springs Fla... (Lovers Key)

"

I’m not quite sure

what loneliness is,

loneliness is this.

I can’t describe

the feel I feel

but certainly

it’s real.

I throb inside

most everyday

and everyday I sigh.

Get up and do

what’s right

at least.

Spread wings

and soar so high.

Be brave and

show your strength

inside.

Show courage,

stand up tall.

Ignite that fire

in your gut.

Get up and

show ‘em all

I like the photo. I been to places where Eagles are free to fly and are protected. Loneliness is a hard thing. Sometime you can be surrounded by people and be alone. I like the positive ending. We need to do what we enjoy. Life is too long to suffer with a bad job or life. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

I've felt the loneliness described here but I've also felt the courage and strength in the latter verses. Very inspirational poem, Allen.

Very inspirational write Allen, I can feel your words as I can relate to the loneliness, it is an undescribale feeling. Yet we seem to be the ones to create our own by shutting out the world. In hopes to protect ourselves from pain. But to live without pain is to not live at all. Made me think about this.

Standing up, with wobbling knees, it has been so long since I’ve tried to walk, I feel like a child; a little scared, but ready to rediscover. That’s the key isn’t it, striving to move…

Great Write My Friend!
