Wasn't it Woody Allen who said something about most of success being attributed to just showing up? I felt this from your poem but in a much more positive and poetic form--lovely work!
I rarely include the photo within my review, but the image of the solitary eagle, going about his daily errands, never asking whether he wants to or not, is so apropos of this writing. Most of us, PARTICULARLY writers, but most all humankind live in doubt as to whether there's any point in our daily necessities, whether anyone cares. The answer is to just put one foot in front of the other, to "fake it 'til you make it", and, usually, purpose will reveal itself, just as that sub-surface, silvery salmon did to the eagle, which it would not, were you to have stayed in bed, or nest. Very challenging piece, Nella.
What an encouraging poem. It is a poem of showing strength and determination. I love it. Very well done!!! Makes one want to go out and conquer their day. Thanks for writing and sharing it.
Allen,
That is an awesome photo.
We can be the busy person around or have all sorts of friends and people around us all the time, and yet deep inside we can still be that lonely one. But we get up and show them all that on the outside we are not so lonely but of course in the end its the inside that really matters. (to me anyway) lol
Wonderful inspriational poem, just wonderful
