for them ... for us

The aura emulates from

the beautiful

children

as they look and

discover the unionized

world we

created

 

for them …

 

… and they see and grow

and develop

into who and what

we expect,

desire

and hope will come

to be

 

for them

and

for us …

 

… but the landing is

never precise or as

hard as we

imagine

it will be…

adults always worry

as children reassure

and offer comfort

 

for us …

… those precious

imaginative eyes

search the universe

for answers

and questions

we never knew to ask

 

for them …

 

… as the world

becomes more

tolerable,  acceptable

and they

teach the adults

what it means

to be honest, pure

and that all is well

 

for them

and for us …

 

We begin to

change in

order

to realize the

hopes

and dreams of

the next generation

 

for them

and

truly great insight in this piece...so often we only think in terms of "teaching our children well" (as CSN) put it...

but it is often they who teach us.

kids are so honest...imaginative, and unbiased...and sometimes unfortunately they learn the bad stuff from us, while teaching us the good stuff.
